i. Introduction.
This is a guide for an online MMORPG called Runescape (www.runescape.com), if
you do not know what Runescape is then you are probably reading the wrong
guide, try checking the reviews or any of the General FAQS.
Woodcutting is a useful skill to have, it can help with raising firemaking and
fletching (fletching is members only) it can also be a good way to make money.
With the new update free players can use a bigger variety of logs.

Runescape Gold =============================================================================== ii. Equipment ==Hatchets== Bronze The basic hatchet. Requires level 1 attack to wield Can be bought from Bobs axe shop in Lumbridge for 16gp. There is a respawn point in Barbarian village. Can be made using one Bronze bar with level 1 smithing. Runescape Iron Requires level 1 attack to wield. Can be bought from Bobs axe shop in Lumbridge for 54gp. Can be made using one Iron bar with level 16 smithing. Steel Requires level 5 attack to wield. Can be bought from Bobs axe shop in Lumbridge for 200gp. Can be made using one Steel bar with level 31 smithing. Black Requires level 10 attack to wield. This axe cannot be bought from shops or made, it is a rare drop from monsters. Can be bought from from other players for around 10-15k gp Mithril (Mith) Requires level 20 attack to wield. Can be made using one Mithril bar with level 51 smithing. Can be bought from from other players for around 500gp-1k gp Adamantite (Addy) Runescape Gold If you are cutting above Oak logs it is recommended to have at least an addy hatchet. Requires level 30 attack to wield. Can be made using one Adamantite bar with level 71 smithing. Can be bought from from other players for around 2-3k gp Rune This is the best hatchet, I recommend you get one as soon as possible. Requires level 40 attack to wield. Can be made using one Runite bar with level 86 smithing. Can be bought from from other players for around 15-25k gp Runescape NOTE: Prices may change. ==Tinderbox== Runescape money Used for lighting logs to make fires Can be bought from general stores for 1gp ==Knife== Used to cut logs into bows or arrow shafts =============================================================================== iii. About each type of log Runescape Gold ==Logs== These are the basic logs, cut from trees which are named simply ‘tree’. Requires level 1 woodcutting to cut. Recomended for level 1-15. Can be cut in free game. Can be sold to other players for 10-20 gp each Best place to cut is the forest east of Draynor bank ==Oak== Cut from oak trees. Runescape Gold Requires level 15 woodcutting to cut. Recomended level to start cutting. Recomended for level 15-65 woodcutting. Can be cut in free game. Can be sold to other players for 20-40 gp each Best place to cut is Just east of Draynor bank ==Willow== Runescape Cut from willow trees. Requires level 30 woodcutting to cut. Recomended for level 65-99 woodcutting. Can be cut in free game. Can be sold to other players for 35-60 gp each Best place to cut is just south of Draynor bank or Seers village ==Maple== Cut from maple trees. Requires level 45 woodcutting to cut. Recomended for level 80-99 woodcutting. Can not be cut in free game, however the logs are not members only items. Can be sold to other players for 150-200 gp each Best place to cut is around seers village bank ==Yew== Cut from yew trees. Requires level 60 woodcutting to cut. Not recomended to cut for XP. Can be cut in free game. Can be sold to other players for 250-300gp each Best place to cut is south of Seers village ==Magic== Cut from magic trees. Requires level 75 woodcutting to cut. Not recomended to cut for XP. Can not be cut in free game, the logs are members only items. Can be sold to other players for 0.9k-1.2k gp each NOTE: for the higher selling prices you will need to get large amounts of the logs (usually 1k or more), prices may change Runescape Gold NOTE 2: The recomended levels are the levels at which you will start to get a reasonable amount of logs per attempt to cut. The fastest way to 99 would be Normal to level 15, Oak to level 65-70, Willow to level 99. However this would not be the most profitable way, so you need to get the right balance of speed/profit for you. =============================================================================== iv.
